One of the most useful and successful activities for the student in PEAQS has been working one-on-one with PEAQS staff on their career preparation. To create a sustainable version of this, Dr. Schreiner developed an on-demand online training platform for PEAQS students. The training includes recorded videos on different topics related to career planning and corresponding homework with each video. The students can reach out to the PEAQS network, including IMOD graduate students and postdocs for feedback on their homework. Specific topics include “Choosing between academia and industry”, “How to prepare for different careers”, “Resume basics”, “Personal Statements and Cover Letters”, and “References and Interviews”.
