The SACNAS Annual Conference is the leading multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM conference in the country. Over the course of the event, college-level through professional attendees are immersed in cutting-edge STEM research, professional development sessions, motivational keynote speakers, and the Academic & Career Expo, as well as multicultural celebrations and traditions, and an inclusive and welcoming community of peers, mentors, and role models.

The Conference Across MRSEC-PREM Schools is a student-led initiative to bring MRSEC-PREM students, faculty, and industry together to help improve students’ research, academic, and professional skills. The conference was founded as a result of a growing need to network with students from other institutions and learn about their work.

IMS-2026 serves as a global platform for discussing scientific breakthroughs that address some of today's most urgent technological and environmental challenges. The TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition brings together more than 4,000 engineers, scientists, business leaders, and other professionals in the minerals, metals, and materials fields for a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary exchange of technical knowledge.

NSF PREM IMPAQT & NSF NRT Q-STAR have organized a “Career Skills Workshop,” scheduled for February 10, 2026. This interactive workshop will cover resume & CV preparation, job hunting strategies, professional ethics, undergraduate research opportunities, and mock Interviews and personalized feedback.

The Rising Stars in Soft and Biological Matter Symposium, co-sponsored by UChicago and the University of California San Diego MRSECs, provides a platform for exceptional early-career soft matter, energy materials, and biological matter scientists to present their work. Symposium participants are selected based on a track record of research accomplishments.

The 2025 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit will take place November 30-December 5, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Hynes Convention Center and adjacent Sheraton Boston Hotel. The world's foremost international scientific gathering for materials research, the MRS meeting showcases leading interdisciplinary research in both fundamental and applied areas presented by scientists from around the world. Abstract submissions are due by June 18, 2025 at 11:59 pm ET.
