PEAQS has successfully leveraged its community and resources built in year 1 to develop and characterize new materials for quantum devices and electronics. The Temple group at NSU is utilizing new lab space and equipment secured with PEAQS support to develop methods to grow materials with interesting emergent properties. Additionally, through the community built in year 1, NSU undergraduate scholars have participated in summer-long, multi-week and week-long research experiences to characterize novel materials at other PEAQS nodes. This is resulting in new discoveries of quantum material properties and new methods to characterize quantum materials, and a joint paper is being written.
