Texas State University’s College of Science and Engineering recognized five PREM CIMA undergraduates during its Chemistry and Biochemistry Undergraduate Celebration, held as part of the college’s 60th Anniversary Banquet. Dillon Gee, Mal Millholland, Tegan Dagley, Deena Reinikka, and Jacob Petrekovich were honored for their achievements and research excellence.

The recognition highlights the role of the NSF PREM Center for Intelligent Materials Assembly, or PREM CIMA, in supporting undergraduate research and helping strengthen the pipeline of students entering materials science and STEM careers. The center’s work emphasizes research, education, and professional development for students interested in advanced materials and related fields.

The honor also fits naturally within the mission of the College of Science and Engineering, which is marking six decades of teaching, research, and service at Texas State. CoSE is the university’s largest college and offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across the sciences, mathematics, engineering, and technology.

University leaders offered congratulations not only to the PREM CIMA honorees, but to all undergraduate students recognized during the celebration for their accomplishments and service. Their achievements reflect the strength of student research and academic excellence across CoSE as the college celebrates its 60th anniversary.
