Shaik Zainuddin

Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Tuskegee University

Shaik Zainuddin is an Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Tuskegee University. He received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from India, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Materials Science Engineering from TU.

He has served in different positions at TU and is a Director of Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), Research Initiation Award (RIA) and Target Infusion Project (TIP) programs at TU. He is also serving as an associate editor, reviewer, consultant and scientific member of peer-reviewed journals/committees.

His research interests are in the areas of processing and characterization of polymer and fiber reinforced composite materials, biomaterials and sandwich composites; durability, life prediction, computational simulations, nanomechanical and tribological properties of nanocomposites and polymer coated metals.
