On January 10, Texas State University hosted a STEM-focused field trip for 77 students and eight teachers from Mendez Elementary School, as well as four students and one teacher from CAST High School. The day was organized to provide students with exposure to physics and chemistry through guided hands-on activities, research demonstrations, and a tour of the university campus.

The schedule included interactive physics and chemistry experiments led by university faculty. These activities allowed students to engage directly with STEM concepts in a collaborative environment.

Participants also toured research labs in the Chemistry Department and the Advanced Research and STEM Center (ARSC). These tours offered students insights into ongoing projects and applications of STEM research.

The visit concluded with a walking tour of the campus, allowing participants to explore the facilities and learn about university life.

The event was supported by chaperones, group guides, activity leaders, and faculty from the physics and chemistry departments. Texas State University aims to introduce young students to STEM fields and provide opportunities to explore scientific research and university resources.
