Three PREM undergraduates—Amelia Scott, Dillon Gee, and Melany Bouyer—were recently awarded $1,000 Undergraduate Research Fellowships (URF) to support their innovative projects in materials science.
Amelia Scott was awarded for “Creating a 3-D Fuse Hydrogel Model Mimicking the Tumor Microenvironment for Cancer Research" in Tania Betancourt’s lab.
Dillon Gee was awarded for "PEG-Boronic Ester Hydrogel Network: A Promising and Versatile ROS-Responsive Drug Delivery System,” in collaboration with the Rosales Lab from UT-MRSEC partners and will make up a large portion of his honors thesis.
Melany Bouyer was awarded for “Characterizing Ruthenate Pyrochlore Catalysts for Electrochemical Water Splitting” in Christopher Rhodes’ lab.
